Retailers have been taken to task over inappropriate messaging on T-shirts, but those exploits might look like child’s play compared with the hemp-scented T-shirts that have been gaining popularity among those petitioning for the legalization of marijuana.

Freedom Gifts, an Atlanta-based distributor of cannabis culture merchandise and tobacco equipment, has added the shirts to its product line. The designs are representative of marijuana legalization efforts and call attention to “National Pot Smoking Day” – April 20, for those not in the know.

According to the manufacturer, the scent withstands several washes and each T-shirt includes instructions on proper care – which, one presumes, includes the removal of stains generated by the late-night consumption of c-store microwaveable burritos.
