Marketing strategy
The fourth module assists retailers in tailoring their marketing and advertising strategy to work best with the area surrounding each specific store.

Most geoVue installations cost between $150,000 and $300,000; the applications are purchased on three-year licenses. Because the geoVue system is software-based, it can be updated easily as new demographic data and information on competitors and road development becomes available.

Rudolph and several real estate managers review the various sites that they’re considering for Rita’s stores on a weekly basis, and geoVue “gives us information to take the decision-making to the next level,” which should help the company and its franchisees.

Based on its work with various customers, geoVue has found that retailers using the applications are able to locate 20 to 25 percent more stores in a given market than if they had worked solely through brokers. At this point, it’s too early for Rudolph to compare the results of stores that were located with the aid of geoVue with those that weren’t. He is confident, however, that the system will benefit the company.
